In the 1980’s, self-storage complexes were not a common site. Only in the largest of cities were they really found. Many investors didn’t see any value in the basalt laden land where Pendleton Mini Storage currently sits. But Leonard A. Wells Sr. saw potential.
Leonard made an offer on the bank owned property with the sole intention of building a storage complex. Over the next several years, he bought the surrounding land as well, and continued to add more buildings. 17 buildings and 550 units later, we are one of the largest complexes in Pendleton.
